Autumn in Lake Louise

Autumn in the mountains is like nothing else, the weather is constantly changing, encasing you in fog and orange hues one minute, a break of sunshine the next, and then a blanket of snow as you reach higher elevation.

Our last trip to Lake Louise was all that, but throw in the intense blue hues of a glacier fed lake to the above scenario.

There was a huge mix of weather that ended up cutting our trip short (more on that in a different post) but walking up to this spot in the rain only to be covered in snow within the next few hours was such a magical experience that only walking amongst giants in the silence of the woods can give you.

We only stayed in this spot for a few minutes before moving on to our hike, but I just had to share!
