The Pacific Northwest is forever blowing my mind when it comes to the immense amount of wilderness and natural beauty packed within such close proximity to one another. This incredible place is located only 30 minutes from Seattle, perfect for a day trip or even quick stop over if you're ever in the area. Unfortunately our visit was just a quick stop over before driving back up North so we weren't able to take in as much of Snoqualmie as it fully deserves.
If you have the chance we'd highly recommend staying, or at least dining, at the Salish Lodge, also known as The Great Northern to Twin Peaks fans. Their Attic dining area as incredible views of the edge of the falls and, possibly more importantly, wood fire pizza!
One major aspect of the falls that we missed out on by not having a full day here was the hike around the falls. The hike takes you along the opposite side of the hotels viewing platforms and down to the base of the falls. You've probably seen photo's taken at the base of the falls on a lot of the big Washington Instagramer's pages. The hike is only about an hour long so if you can squeeze it in definitely do so, we regret not having enough time to view more of the area.
