The Moraine Lake rock pile hike a really easy quick hike that takes up the rock pile at the front of the lake giving you the classic postcard view of Moraine. Due to Moraine's popularity the access road and lake can get very busy, especially during the summer and on long weekends, resulting in line ups and parking along the road leading up to the lake itself. If you can make your way here first thing in the morning to avoid having to park on the road or the massive crowds climbing the rocks. The lake is glacier fed so it doesn't generally fill entirely until June; our last visit was at the beginning of May, there were absolutely no crowds which was incredible, but the lake was not yet filled which may have been a disappoint to some- check it out here. We've also checked out Moraine on the August long weekend two years ago.
