Campfire Breakfast

Now that spring has officially arrived with longer days and warmer weather we're itching to dive into summer and leave winter behind. An ideal summer encompasses many things, but to us it's nearly non-existing without some time spent in the woods and a meal cooked over an open flame. There's something about fresh air and a hint of smoke that takes a cup of black coffee and bacon to another level of breakfast. So here's to summer and mealtimes spend outdoors... and also bacon!

Winter in Lake Louise

Last New Years Bryson and I went to Lake Louise for a couple of days to hike and relax before having to head back to school/work and I've just now gotten around to editing some of the photos. We were really surprised to find the area not too busy considering it was the holidays, and it was Lake Louise, but I think we had missed a good chunk of the crowds by heading out on New Years day. We had planned to just hang around the lake/hotel and maybe grab some lunch but ended hiking 5 km up the mountains after stumbling upon a trail and the end of Lake Louise; it's probably still our favourite hike, ever. I'll be sharing details within the next week! For now, here are some wintery photos of Lake Louise.
